I would not want to be in her shoes but if the dog doesn't run and hide it will most likely run off unless it is really hungry. I've seen bear as close before but I was armed. The person with the camera better be wary because if the bear gets boxed in it will fight. Great shot!! I had one sneak up behind me and for some reason I felt a chill and the hairs on my neck stood up. I was watch an apple pile for deer and I had my trusty 30-30 rifle. I heard a large crash behind me and I spun around to see what was there and just got a glimpse of a black form go out of sight thankfully in the opposite direction from me. They do not make much noise when sneaking through the woods but it is different when they are trying to get away as it was. I left after that because with a black bear nearby I knew no deer would come around. I was nervous myself as well but my rifle is powerful enough to drop any black bear and I did shoot one in the same area at a later date.
